Letter from DW Survivor Alicia Partnoy
For those of you who don’t read Spanish, this is a statement in support of the victims of genocide in Argentina, by the Team of Psychologists and health professionals who accompanied victims and survivors when testifying in court in Cordoba. New legislation in Argentina decides to reduce to half the sentences of the genocide perpetrators. The measure, known as 2×1, in reference to the sentence reduction has very dangerous implications.
Alicia Partnoy is now a founding member of Proyecto VOS–Voices of Survivors, an organization dedicated to bringing survivors of state-sponsored violence to lecture at U.S. universities.
